The woman found yesterday without life and half-naked in a building of Torrevieja (Alicante) suffered an accidental fall and died from the blows suffered when rushing down the stairs. The autopsy practiced Monday at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Alicante has corroborated that the wounds presented by the corpse are compatible with the fall and a traumatic brain injury, as has confirmed to EL PAÍS the sub-delegation of Government in Alicante, Araceli Poblador.
The agents of the investigation discard in this way that the deceased was the victim of a sexual assault or an episode of sexist violence. The main indicator that led to any of these assumptions is that the woman, Moroccan and 39, just wore a shirt at the time of his death, without underwear or shoes.
Yesterday, Sunday, around 9 o'clock in the morning, a minor took his dog for a walk and, when he returned to his house, located in a building on Calle Caritas in Torrevieja, he found the body of the deceased, who He was face down and with his head against the wall, as one neighbor explained. The child was frightened and immediately called his family, who was, in turn, gave part to the Civil Guard of Torrevieja.
The neighbor consulted also noted that they had not heard the impact of the coup, but that during the night they had heard "arguments and laughter, like a quarrel." In addition, he recalled that the deceased woman had previously attended the building, but did not reside there. According to EFE, the sentimental ex-partner of the victim of the accident resides in the housing block.
According to Poblador, the investigation focused on the recordings of the security cameras that are scattered throughout the building, located in an industrial estate on the outskirts of Torrevieja, next to the site of several nightlife venues. In these recordings, Civil Guard agents were able to verify that it was the woman herself who undressed herself from the waist down before peering into the stairwell and falling from the top.
