The appointment with the polls will be marked by wind and cold

Tomorrow's election date will be marked by a cold front that will enter Galicia today and that as it passes through the Peninsula will leave heavy rainfall in the Cantabrian, snowed in mountain areas of the northern peninsular half and strong wind in almost the entire country.

According to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the election day will be quite cold throughout most of the Peninsula, with strong winds that will increase the feeling of cold.

It will be very cloudy throughout the Peninsula and in the Balearic Islands, with frequent rainfall in the northern half, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia and the Balearic Islands.

The showers, which will be persistent throughout the northern peninsular third, may be strong and stormy in the Cantabrian and northern Navarra.

In the Canary Islands, the skies will be cloudy in the north with some rain, more likely in the islands of greater relief.

The snow level in the Peninsula will be located at 900/1200 meters in the mountainous systems of the north and center, and from 800 in the Iberian and Pyrenees.

In the mountains of the southeast, the elevation of 1600 meters will go down to 1100/1300 meters and in the Balearic Islands at 1000/1200 meters.

The forecast of the Aemet, warns of frosts in mountain areas that can be strong in the Pyrenees.

Daytime temperatures will drop throughout the country except in the Canary Islands and in the Guadalquivir valley, while nighttime temperatures will rise in the peninsular southwest and will decrease in the Balearic Islands and Catalonia.

The wind will blow from the northeast in the Canary Islands and from the north or from the northwest in the Peninsula and Balearic Islands and will be strong or with intervals of strong in general in coastal areas, in high areas and in moors.
