The appearance of a first vaccine against Covid drives the Ibex that shoots up more than 2%

In this atypical August, under the threat of a second wave of Covid-19 and with a much lower volume of business on the floors than usual, the market remains sensitive to current events and the announcement by Russian President Vladimir Putin of that the first vaccine against the virus developed by the Gamaléi National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of Moscow (NITsEM, in Russian) has served as an excuse to unleash the optimism of some investors, who do not stop collecting bad economic data (the latest installment, yesterday by the OECD pointing to Spain as the most deteriorated economy and in which the potential green shoots would be withering) and business results to forget. With this panorama, the selective Spanish has given itself to optimism and less than an hour before closing, 2.71% shoots up, surpassing the barrier of 7,200 points, something that barely 24 hours ago seemed something very far away.

The main drivers of this rebound and this euphoria, the most punished stocks: banks and listed companies related to tourism. All in a selective that is dyed green with the exception of Cellnex whose values are less than 1% and stand at 51 euros.
