The age range of 40 to 49 years It is the one that has increased the most in cases of coronavirus the first week of October in the Canary Islands, going from 2,324 to 2,477, thus experiencing an increase of 153 more positives in the last seven days.

This is clear from the data published by the Ministry of Health of the Canary Government on the positives that occur in different age groups and collects Europa Press. The second age group that rises is that of people from between 30 and 39 years of age, which increased by 145 cases from 2,329 to 2,395.

Closely followed by the age ranges of people between 50 and 59 years old, with an increase of 132 cases from 1,907 to 2,039, and from 20 to 29 years, with an increase of 130 more positives in the last seven days at the beginning of the week with 2,425 and concluding it with 2,555 cases.

Behind them are the people of between 60 and 69 years with a rise of 99 cases going from 1,256 to 1,355 positives; followed by young people between 10 and 19 years old at the beginning of the week with 1,140 cases and concluding it with 1,235, which implies 95 more positives.

Finally, the number of people from between 70 and 79 years, with 57 more positives, followed by minors between 0 and 9 years old with an increase of 45 cases and people over 80 years with a rise of 29 positives.

The Canary Islands ended the first week of October with 14,154 cases registered since the start of the health crisis, of which 238 people have died, while 6,794 have received medical discharge and 7,122 cases are active.
