The 5,000 members of the caravan hope to meet in Tijuana this Sunday or Monday

The 5,000 members of the migrant caravan that entered Mexico on October 19 and stopped this week in the city of Tijuana, bordering the US, are hoping to meet in this city on Sunday or Monday to make a decision on their future, local authorities reported today.

The largest concentration of Central Americans, mostly Hondurans, is in the shelter that was installed in the sports Benito Juarez in the popular north of this city where the authorities registered 2,397 people

The migrants said they expect the arrival of another 1,000 people on Saturday and that there are another 1,500 who are in the city of Mexicali with chances of arriving on Sunday or Monday.

The Central American emigrants have gone from euphoria, for their arrival to the border of Mexico with the US, to reflection as they have seen the security operation behind the border fence with US agents.

The migrants in Tijuana await the arrival of all their comrades to make a decision although many already analyze the possibility of staying in Mexico to regularize their immigration status and work and others plan to wait weeks or months, while working in this country, to try to cross to the United States on another occasion.
