Maritime Rescue Officers have moved to Motril, where they arrived about 01.20 hours today, 46 people of sub-Saharan origin, including seven women and possibly a minor, who have been rescued near the island of Alborán.
The immigrants, to whom upon arrival at the port of Motril a medical examination was carried out by the Red Cross, were in good physical condition and health except for one of them who has been transferred to the Motril Hospital when presenting several problems, according to sources from the humanitarian organization.
Salvamento Marítimo activated a search device for a small boat that had left first thing in the morning from Bouyafart in northern Morocco.
The immigrants were transferred to the port of Motril by the boat Guardamar Caliope where they arrived about 01:20 on Monday.
All of them have been made available to the national police in the temporary reception center of this body in the port dock.
