The 22nd Lanzarote Film Festival will screen 54 shorts

Short films are an exceptional way to train the imagination and take the pulse of today's world. This is the goal of the
22nd edition of the Lanzarote International Film Festival (FICL22)an appointment co-produced by the Culture area of ​​the Cabildo de Lanzarote and Fisme Producciones.

A total of
34 people have integrated this year the Selection Committee, in charge of visualizing the
1,500 works from 80 countries who have registered since last December, through the platforms Festhome, Movibeta, Shortfilmdepot and Filmfreeway, to opt to enter the Official Competition Section of the Cone festival.

The Official Section of the Lanzarote International Film Festival is made up of five categories:
Canary Shorts, Animation Shorts, International Fiction Shorts, National Fiction Shorts and Documentary Shorts. The winners of these last two categories will be shortlisted for the Goya Awards given by the Film Academy.

The store will host the screening of animated short films, documentaries, Spanish fiction and international fiction, starting at 6:00 p.m., between June 20 and 23.

In some cases, these projections will mean the
international premiere of the short films, all produced in 2021.

Victor Fernandez Gopar El Salinero Theater The Canarian short films will be screened on June 24, starting at 6:30 p.m., with the presence of the filmmakers, who will present their works to the public.

At the end of each pass, a
QR code for viewers to scan and vote for the Audience Award.
