The 20th Film Festival shows four long and twelve short films in 'Canarias Cinema' - La Provincia

The 20th International Film Festival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria he will screen four feature films and twelve short films in the competitive section Canary Cinema. Having valued 64 titles for Canary Cinema, section dedicated to cinema with production or Canarian authorship, the Selection Committee has prepared a program that, in the feature films section, includes four works that will be disputed on Richard Leacock Award of the twentieth edition. Within the section you can see the latest works of Miguel Mejías, Alexis Delgado Búrdalo, Théo Court, awarded in the section Horizons From the past Venice festival, and of the couple of filmmakers Miguel G. With regard to short films, the edition will feature talent works such as Elio Quiroga, Octavio Guerra, Nayra Sanz Fuentes, David Sainz, Fernando Alcántara, David Delgado Sanginés or Samuel M. Delgado Y Helena Girón, creators that the Festival follows closely, as well as works of new values ​​such as Rafael Montezuma, Claudia Torres, Pablo Vilas Y Adriana Thomasa, the tandem formed by the illustrator Omar Al Abdul Razzak and the director Shira Ukrainitz or the 2D animation and stop motion project management specialist Enrique Diego.

The Selection Committee considers that the level of interest, originality and quality of production of the proposals presented for this twentieth edition of the contest significantly exceeds that of last year.

Canary Islands Cinema Jury
