Likewise, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Archipelago had to mourn in the last day five deaths linked to the effects of the virus. The deceased, two people aged 86 and 88 years in Gran Canaria, two patients aged 52 and 67 years in Fuerteventura, and one person aged 83 years in Tenerife, were suffering from previous pathologies. These new deaths bring to 703 the count of deaths produced in the region due to complications caused by the coronavirus.
As usual, the good news comes from the seniors. And it is that in the last 24 hours 256 were issued, so 44,881 people have already managed to overcome the disease in the Canary Islands.
However, in the hospitals of the Islands there are 311 patients fighting against the condition in plants – one less than last Wednesday – and 82 in intensive care units – the same figure remains. On the contrary, 4,011 patients are under home monitoring, which represents 91% of the total for the Archipelago (4,403).
