Ten Oscars winning songs that we all hummed - La Provincia

We go back to the sixties to make a travel through the well-known topics who won at some point the Oscar to best original song. Timeless songs that made history and will remain among the best works of the American film awards. We start with the most recent of the previous editions of the Oscars: 2016, 'La La Land'.
1. 'City of Stars', from 'La La Land' (2016)
The duet of the protagonists of the movie-musical 'La La Land', Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, has become one of those songs that will last in the history of the Oscars. Gosling, who plays Sebastian, had to practice with the piano four hours a day for almost three months to be at the height of the musical scenes. In addition to the award for the best original song, 'La La Land' also took the statuette the best soundtrack.
2. 'Let It Go', by 'Frozen' (2013)
Everyone was hit by 'Let It Go' in their day, even to those who had not seen 'Frozen'. The song, performed by singer-songwriter Irina Mendel for the Disney animated film, appeared in ads, YouTube parodies and memes, and transcended from the viral to become a global culture icon recent.
3. 'Jai Ho', from 'Who wants to be a millionaire' (2008)
'Jai Ho', by A. R. Rahman, was the musical background of the Indian general elections in 2009. The National Congress bought the rights to the song to make it an ode to electoral victory, and with good reason: 'Jai Ho' means "let there be a victory". 'Who wants to be a millionaire' accumulated eight Oscars, among them, the best soundtrack.
4. 'Lose Yourself', from '8 miles' (2002)
The movie '8 Mile' collects the beginnings of the rapper Eminem in the musical panorama of Detroit. "If you had a chance to achieve everything you've always wanted, would you take it or let it go?" It's the iconic phrase from the beginning of 'Lose Yourself', which he remained at number one on the lists for weeks and today is considered the best-known rap song in history.
5. 'In my heart you will live', from 'Tarzan' (1999)
Phil collins she played 'You'll Be in My Heart' in the 2000 Oscars gala. The song, from 'Tarzan', one of the most emotional films of Disney, had won the prize for best original piece in the previous edition. 6. 'My Heart Will Go On', by 'Titanic' (1997)
Initially, Céline Dion hated the song that later would become his logo. I still did not know that 'My Heart Will Go On' was going to be number one on Billboard's Hot 100 and would consolidate itself as the model romantic ballad. Finally was allowed to be convinced by the composer of the soundtrack of 'Titanic', James Horner, and by her husband, René Angélil, and recorded a demo. And until now.
7. '(I've Had) The Time of My Life', 'Dirty Dancing' (1987)
'Dirty Dancing' was not meant to be a successful movie at all. The main actors did not like each other and even one of the sponsors was pushed back by the sub-plot of abortion, but now the tape is considered a classic. It is also '(I've Had) The Time of My Life', which also lasts as a song several times versioned. Black Eyed Peas released theirs in 2010, and Quinn and Sam, from the Glee series, also performed the song.
8. 'Evergreen', from 'A Star is Born' (1976)
Barbra Streisand performed the brilliant song 'Evergreen' in the third version of 'A star is born', besides starring in the film in the skin of Esther Hoffman. The latest version of the tape is nominated at this year's Oscars best film -And so is the best original song by 'Shallow', by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
9. 'Chim Chim Cher-ee', by 'Mary Poppins' (1964)
A hollinero takes the two children by the hand and begins to sing the catchy 'Chim Chim Cher-ee'. Mary Poppins joins them later. The song was performed by Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, but it was written by the Sherman brothers, authors of a lot of songs from films Disney
10. 'Moon River', from 'Breakfast with diamonds' (1961)
The scene of 'Breakfast with diamonds' from Audrey Hepburn playing the guitar and singing 'Moon River', towel in headIt is well known. Henry Mancini composed the piece especially for her and, that same year, she won the statuette in her category. Since then, the song has been covered tens of times.
