Technological consensus drives 5G mobiles

The technology industry is conjured with the development of mobiles 5G. The advantages and influence in all areas of the economy (also in industry) have made the doubts that existed in past years regarding the deployment of networks have dissipated. According to GSMA5G connections will exceed 1 billion in 2022 and 2 billion in 2025. By the end of 2025, 5G will account for more than a fifth of all connections mobiles, and more than two in five people in the world will live within reach of a 5G network, according to the GSMA's 'The Mobile Economy Report 2022'.
This unprecedented growth represents the fastest generational deployment in the mobile industry compared to 3G and 4G. For comparison, 18 months after its launch, 5G represented more than 5.5% of mobile connections; neither 3G nor 4G exceeded 2.2% penetration in the same period of time. There are currently nearly 200 active 5G networks in seven countries, including 68 operators providing 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) services and 23 offering 5G stand-alone (SA) services. All of this supports consumer demand, fueled by a growing portfolio of 5G-enabled smartphones in various price ranges.
"5G accounts for a much larger share of global mobile connections than 3G or 4G at the same point in their life cycles. The momentum is due to factors such as innovative plans, streaming video services, increased sales of 5G phones and expanding network coverage," said Alex Sinclair, GSMA Chief Technology Officer. " Additionally, the launch of 5G services in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa over the past year means the technology is now available in every region of the world, so we're poised to see further growth and transformation for services. ."
The first network capacity initiatives are underway to support the growing number of innovative use cases for consumers and businesses in the 5G era. Among them are the use in 5G of multiple spectrum bands below 3GHz, 5G mmWave, 5G Advanced and private networks.
