Tebas, appointed as the highest representative of the European leagues before UEFA

The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, has been proposed by the European leagues as their representative on the UEFA Executive Committee for the next four years.

Through a statement, The league confirmed this Monday that Javier Tebas will replace Lars-Christer Olsson, outgoing president of the European leagues and former president of the Swedish professional league.

“It is a responsibility that I assume with pride and with the commitment to continue fighting for the growth of the national leagues I represent, authentic engine of the football“, Javier Tebas explained.

His appointment, already approved by the LaLiga Executive Committee, will be ratified in the 45th Ordinary Congress of the UEFA scheduled for next April 20.
