Socialist Susana Mora has been proclaimed this Saturday, in the plenary session held in Mahón, president of the Consell de Menorca for the next four years, thanks to the support of Més per Menorca and Unidas Podemos.
Mora has had 8 votes in favor and 5 against, in the plenary attended by numerous authorities of the islands, including the president of the Balearic Govern, Francina Armengol.
In the speech before the investiture, Susana Mora, has claimed the work done in the previous mandate: "We want to continue with hope and responsibility."
The socialist has highlighted the "solidarity, diversity and dialogue" that represents the presidency of the highest Minorcan institution, hand in hand with Podemos and Més per Menorca.
The socialist leader has appointed entrepreneurs and unions for their role in the island society, and has detailed the main objectives of the new government team: "economic diversity, improvements in maritime and air connectivity, with special attention to Barcelona and the main capitals European countries, as well as mobility through efficient and sufficient public transport ".
It has also called for the fight against gender violence: "Women want to live and feel safe, we will fight as a priority any violence of sex."
