‘Supermán’ López, hospitalized after suffering a serious fall in the Giro

The Colombian Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana) is located hospitalized in Palermo after suffering a serious fall this Saturday in the opening time trial of the 103rd edition of the Italy spinhis team reported with a note on Twitter.

‘Superman’ López, who had been competing in the chrono for nine minutes, lost control of his bike when hitting a pothole while only had one hand on the handlebars and crashed into the side fences of the road.

The 26-year-old Colombian runner was assisted by security officials stationed in that area before an ambulance arrived to take him to a nearby Palermo hospital.
