Subaru calls for revision of 5,035 vehicles in China due to airbag failure

Japanese vehicle manufacturer Subaru will recall 5,035 vehicles in China for suspected problems in the airbags, the official Xinhua news agency reported today.
The models that will be reviewed are the Legacy, Outback and Imprezza manufactured between January 6 and August 29, 2014, detailed the Chinese Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, responsible for the control of Chinese imports.
According to the information, the company will replace the frontal airbags of these models from May 17 because they do not provide effective protection, which could increase the risk of injury in case of accidents.
The multinational stressed that repairs will be carried out at no cost to customers.
