Students from Vocational Training centers in the Canary Islands participate in the new edition of FP Plus

Students who participate in the new edition of FP Plus together with the teaching staff. /
20 students come from the Higher Cycle of Automotive and 14 from the Computer Science branch
The
Sergio Alonso Foundation presented this Thursday the new edition of its educational innovation program
VET Plus. In total, this course will involve 3
4 students (20 in the Automotive branch and 14 in Computer Science) from La Palma, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote (islands where their regulated studies are taught). Total,
16 educational centers of VET will be represented in this initiative.
The
Training program it's divided in
three blocks: technical training, in languages (English) and in soft skills (soft skills) with the aim that students are better prepared to face their insertion in the world of work.
Present at the event was the president of the Foundation,
Evelyn Alonso-Rhoner, who highlighted the value of
alliancesin this case, "that of public educational centers, institutions and companies, which come together to offer a better education to the young people of the Canary Islands".
Also present at the event was the director of Human Resources of the Domingo Alonso Group,
Miguel Angel Castillowho assured that companies are now looking for
profiles and for this reason «non-formal education is sometimes more or just as important as technical training».
Complementary technical training
The
training technique that Automotive students receive is taught by the Domingo Alonso Group and the
objective is that students can get closer to the latest vehicle technology, especially,
hybrid and electric and have knowledge about
electromobilitySystem of
data transmission either
anti-pollution.

Computingtraining modules will be taught in branches of the sector
technological they are having a
high demand such as Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Manager Digital Business and Technology and Artificial Intelligence. Likewise, this year the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship module has been incorporated.
English and Soft Skills
Students who are part of FP Plus also receive
Fformation in
English with a weekly hour and a half class focused on each of its
specialties. In addition, another of the large blocks is that of
yesoft Skills in which they will address issues such as emotional intelligence, critical thinking, resilience, communication and employability.
