Spotted a 2.5 meter hammerhead tiburn in canary waters – La Provincia


On the day of Friday and Saturday it has spotted a specimen of hammerhead shark in Tenerife waters.

The specimen of 2.5 meters in total length was seen just four miles off the coast of Barranco Seco, in the south of Tenerife. It could also be contemplated by some of the ecological tours that are carried out in this area of ​​the island.

It is common to see this species of shark in Canary Islands does not attack the human being and it usually moves through the waters of the Canary Islands, being a precious specimen, and with great importance in maintaining a healthy ecological system.
