Spar Gran Canaria, main sponsor of the CD Femargun – La Provincia


The president of Spar Gran Canaria, Angel Medina, and the counselor Jesus Diaz, beside Miguel Angel Sanchez, president of CD Femarguin, have signed this Wednesday the agreement that contemplates the supermarket chain as official club sponsor for next season.

The business group thus performs a determined commitment to the grancanario team, with the intention of contributing their professionalism to a referent sports entity on the Island, which will militate in the new league Iberdrola Challenge, the Second category of national women's football.

The CD Femarguín will be renamed CDF Spar Gran Canaria thanks to this new sponsorship. The club, founded in 2010 -Since 2001 it was the women's section of the CD Arguineguín-, it has more than fifty players enrolled in the different categories: Second Division Pro, Territorial and Children's League.

Throughout its trajectory, the southern entity has become one of the leading teams of the Archipelago, getting important achievements. In his record stand out the six league champion titles, three times Canary champion Y six presences in the promotion of promotion to the highest category of women's football.
