The fourth dose against COVID-19 will begin to be administered in Spain on September 26, as decided this Thursday by the Public Health Commission and reported by the Ministry of Health. Vaccination will begin in residences and in the first place those over 80 years of age will be vaccinated, "according to the criterion of greater vulnerability," says Health.
The Ministry has also reported that, this Friday, the first batch of doses adapted to the omicron variant will arrive in our country, which will be key to fighting the advance of the virus next autumn when temperatures drop. The new consignment is going to be distributed to the autonomous communities next week.
Likewise, the Public Health Commission has agreed that this year's flu vaccination will begin on October 17 and, according to the Ministry, its start will take place "depending on the availability and epidemiological circumstances of the different communities and cities autonomous”.
