Spain places 1,000 million in letters in its last auction of 2018



The Spanish Public Treasury has today celebrated the last auction of 2018, in which it has sold 1,000 million euros in three and nine month letters, which in the latter case have come to an even more negative interest.

According to the auction data, in nine-month bills, the Treasury has placed 740 million euros, which have come out at a marginal yield of -0.371%, even more negative than the -0.344% applied in November.

Spain has also awarded another 260 million euros in three-month bills, with an interest of -0.500%, compared to -0.595% previously.
