Slipknot, first headliner of the Resurrection Fest 2019 | Miss Festivals Blog
The Resurrection Fest Estrella Galicia has announced its first headliner for the next edition of the Galician festival, Slipknot. The organization has confirmed that this was "the most requested band" throughout its history and will finally set foot in the town of Viveiro in Lugo during the first week of July. From the festival say they have been trying to bring the American group "year after year", but finally, after a decade without coming to Spain, will give their expected concert in the most important musical event in Galicia.
Corey Taylor and his people are one of the leading metal bands in the world and will return next year with a new album. The Resurrection confirms that they will not miss their great successes and that they will make a "full production" concert, promising to be one of the "most brutal shows that have ever been seen in the festival". This will not be their only concert of the tour they will give in Spain, since they will also be at the Download Festival of Madrid. From the Resu ensure that there are still many more surprises and bands to announce on the poster, which by now already has 36 names.
This year, the Resu decided to surprise before releasing their tickets for the next edition. They did it with a small preview of artists and with a change of date: the festival will be held the first weekend of July and not the second, specifically from Wednesday 3 to Saturday 6 of that month. In total, more than cinema bands and four stages will fill Viveiro with the best live music.
The confirmation this week adds to the bands that the organization had already announced. Among them stand out Within Temptation and Cradle of Filth that are part of a poster that they have described as "more promising than ever". In the programming there will be exclusive performances in Spain such as Parkway Drive and As I Lay Dying, which will perform for the first time in our country. Tickets are already on sale and the price will increase progressively as the festival date approaches.
