A total of six players and several employees of the Dynamo of Kiev, rival this Wednesday of Football Club Barcelona in the group stage of the Champions League, have given positive for coronavirus and they will not be able to be in the Camp Nou.
“The tests showed a positive result in several players of the team: Georgy Tsitaishvili, Denis Garmash, Mikkel Duelund, Alexander Karavaev, Tudor Belutse and Mykola Shaparenko,” Dinamo announced in a statement.
All the players and coaching staff of the match were tested, following UEFA guidelines, and these six players and some employee tested positive for Covid-19, so they will not be able to travel to Barcelona.
In addition to the players, assistant coach Emil Karas and four other representatives of the squad tested positive. All those affected by coronavirus are isolated and asymptomatic.
Dinamo Kiev must visit the Blaugrana fiefdom this Wednesday to face a Barça that has won its two games, against Ferencváros (5-1) and Juventus (0-2). For its part, Dinamo lost to Juventus (0-2) and drew at the home of the Hungarian team (2-2).
