The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 39.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days in 87 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife Today there are 61 cases with a total of 23,2306 accumulated cases and 1,909 epidemiologically active cases; Gran canaria it adds 10 cases and has 21,953 accumulated 807 assets. Today’s statistics for Gran Canaria only have 10 cases as the rest are in the validation process and will be added to the statistics in the coming hours.
For its part, Lanzarote adds 17 new cases with 5,073 accumulated and 139 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura adds two new cases, so it has 2,272 accumulated cases and 18 active ones. The Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will continue tomorrow, Sunday, May 9, with the deliberations to decide whether or not to endorse the sanitary measures approved by the Government of the Canary Islands and that will come into force after the end of the state of alarm, that is, at midnight this Saturday.
The Chamber met in plenary session this morning to address the request of the regional Executive to accept its measures, but has not yet made a decision on the matter, report sources from the TSJC. The judicial body has until the day after tomorrow, Monday, to pronounce itself.

The outbreak of Covid-19 with Origin in a gym in Arrecife and notified this week in Lanzarote, accumulates 40 associated cases, of which 22 are directly related to sports activity and the rest correspond to family ramifications, has reported the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands. Canary registers 123 new cases from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the data of the pandemic that the Ministry of Health has just updated. The data for this Friday suppose a slight drop compared to the previous day, when the Archipelago added four deaths and 154 infections due to the virus.
In addition, we must regret the death of three people with coronavirus, an 86-year-old man in Tenerife and a 62-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman in Gran Canaria. All the deceased had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

The Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has until next Monday, May 10, to rule on the request of the Government of the Canary Islands in the sense that it authorizes the measures to be applied in the Archipelago after the end of the state of alarm this Sunday.
