The National Police has arrested six people in relation to two sexual assaults that took place this week in Castellón, a town that celebrates the Festivities of the Magdalenena
According to EFE sources from the Government Delegation, the six arrests have occurred after identifying a total of eight suspects in relation to these cases.
The same sources have not been able to specify how many detainees correspond to each of the sexual assaults.
One of the attacks would have occurred to a minor of 17 years, committed during the early hours of this Wednesday, while the second -the victim's age has not been facilitated- was also coinciding with the celebration of the founding festivities of Castellón.
Both issues have already been brought to the attention of the Castellón Prosecutor's Office, according to EFE sources. Public ministry.
The mayor of Castellón, Amparo Marco, has expressed her "strongest condemnation" of these events and has expressed her desire that "the full weight of the law" falls on the aggressors.
Marco said in a statement that male violence is "a scourge that makes us a worse society," and has shown the commitment of the session with "the fight against violence against women."
Castellón City Council has incorporated this year as a novelty to the Municipal Health Service 24-hour psychological assistance to address cases of gender violence or sexist aggression during the holidays and offer a "comprehensive response" to potential victims.
