The team Williams of Formula 1 confirmed this Tuesday that Simon Roberts will step down from his position as Managing Director to take over as ‘Team Principal’ Acting, vacant since Claire Williams’ goodbye last Sunday.
“I am delighted to be announced as Williams’ Acting Team Principal during this transition period. This is an exciting time for the team, a new era for Williams and one that I am excited to be involved in. I look forward to the challenge ahead as we look to bring the team back to the front of the grid, “said Roberts.
Weeks after announcing that Williams was being sold to Dorilton Capitol, Claire Williams, who had led the team that her father Frank founded since 2013, confirmed before the Italian Grand Prix that would end his stage as ‘Team Principal’ to facilitate the transition of new owners.
