The group of Sí Podemos Canarias in the autonomous Parliament has affirmed this Monday that the president of the Congress Meritxell Batet (PSOE)
"I should resign" if the Constitutional Court grants its protection to Alberto Rodríguez and returns his seat for Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Lower House.

«We were clear then, and now we reaffirm, that his seat was taken from him and he was expelled from Congress without any motivationthe decision was not explained to the deputy« and there was a lack of »legal motivation«, said Manuel Marrero, spokesman for the Sí Podemos group.

This formation maintains that if the Constitutional Court agrees with Alberto Rodríguez by challenging the withdrawal of his act as a deputy, "a serious scandal will have been confirmed, as it is verified that the president of the legislative power yielded to pressure from the judiciary, assuming a decision unacceptable policy.

Manuel Marrero recalled that the four deputies of Sí Podemos Canarias did not attend an institutional session in the regional Parliament in April in which Batet participated

«We asked him for an interview so that he could explain to us the motivations that he had and did not grant it to us“, he lamented.
