Should Spain follow the example of France and bet on nuclear power plants?

The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, has opted to enhance the nuclear energy to advance in the matter of ecological transition. Total
in the neighboring country there are 56 reactors
in operation while here are seven.

Our plants generate more than 20% of the energy consumed in Spain, but their days are numbered and they will be closed between 2027 and 2035. While in France nuclear power plants will be built again and it will bet on small modular reactors (SMR), plants of rapid installation that will compensate for the deficit of renewables.

Macron’s politics the price of electricity would drop in Spain, which has not stopped rising in recent months, and also would end the high dependence on the outside that our country suffers in this matter.

77.94% of the energy consumed is imported.
