Seven people, three of them motorcyclists, have died in many other accidents that occurred on Spanish roads this weekend, the first of Holy Week, according to Efe the Traffic Department.
Most of these incidents occurred on this Sunday, in which six people lost their lives in the six incidents registered in Ogíjares (Granada), Ayna (Albacete), Guía de Isora (Santa Cruz de Tenerife), Medina del Campo (Valladolid), Marín (Pontevedra) and Iruña de Oca (Álava).
In the first three, the deceased were motorists.
On Friday, another person died in Puebla de Sancho Pérez (Badajoz), while yesterday there was no fatal accident.
Traffic forecasts 15.5 million long-haul trips this Easter, which will mean, if forecasts are met, 7.4 percent more than on the same holiday dates of 2018.
The special operation that has started at three this afternoon and will continue until twelve o'clock on Monday night, the 22nd, festive in some communities.
