Seven dead on Spanish roads during the weekend

Seven people have died and two have been injured in the six traffic accidents that occurred on Spanish roads between 3:00 pm on Friday and 8:00 pm today, a spokesperson for the Traffic Department informed Efe.

In the day of today two accidents have ended the life of two people in Galicia. Specifically, a motorist died early this morning after leaving the road with his vehicle when he was driving through the parish of Goiáns, in Porto do Son (A Coruña).

And on the AP-9 highway this afternoon there was another accident in which a young man was killed and the girl who accompanied him was seriously wounded. Both traveled on board a motorcycle that hit a tourist at kilometer 156, at the height of the exit in the direction of Baiona.

Yesterday, the most serious accident took two lives in the collision of a tourist against a truck that occurred at kilometer 561 of the National IV in the municipality of Dos Hermanas, in Seville.

And also that same morning a man died and four other people were injured of varying consideration in a clash between two vehicles at the intersection of CL-605 and ZA-605 in Fuentesaúco (Zamora).

During the day on Friday, two other people died in separate accidents in Monachil (Granada) and Vega de Infanzones (León) in the first hours of entry into force of the special traffic device on the occasion of Christmas.

The victim of Monachil was a 73-year-old man who died when he left the road and overturned the vehicle in which he was driving, in an accident that occurred shortly after three in the afternoon.

The other victim was a woman when her vehicle collided with another one at kilometer 4 of highway A-231 (León-Burgos), within the municipality of Vega de Infanzones (León).
