Senator and deputy of the Parliament Lorena Roldán leaves Ciudadanos and signs for the PP

The senator and deputy of the Parliament Lorena Roldán announced this Wednesday that she is leaving Ciudadanos and that she joins the Catalan PP led by Alejandro Fernández, without specifying whether she will also join the party or what position she will occupy in the popular lists in the February 14 elections . Roldán won the primaries of Citizens to be a candidate for the presidency of the Generalitat but the party ousted her by Carlos Carrizosa.
Roldán’s movement shakes the center-right in the face of the Catalan elections and aims to improve the expectations of the PP, that does not finish taking off in the polls, at the expense of Ciudadanos, who the surveys place in free fall and at the moment without soil. In a statement published on his Twitter account, Roldán has considered that the lists that Fernández will lead embody “the common project with a sense of State, management capacity and, above all, without complexes with separatism.”
Today I finish my stage in Cs. A difficult but thoughtful decision. My commitment to freedom and coexistence continues as alive as the first day and, therefore, I want to announce that I will continue to defend those values from the project of @alejandroTGN. Thanks for the confidence. pic.twitter.com/CSoKMCNWWK
