Pilots face this saturday a classification of Monaco Grand Prix from Formula 1 in which anything can happen and in which Ferrari Y Carlos Sainz they may have a lot to say. The Monegasque Charles Leclerc, which was the best, and Sainz, with the second time of the day, gave shine on Thursday to the ‘rampant cavalino’ in free trials.
Leclerc, who wants to become the first Monegasque to win the Grand Prix of his country and who did not ride in the first session due to a problem in the gearbox that he had to replace in his car, covered the 3,337 meters of the narrow and winding track of the principality of the Côte d’Azur in one minute, eleven seconds and 684 thousandths, 112 less than Sainz. In the second session everyone set the best times on the soft tire. English Lewis hamilton (Mercedes), seven-time world champion and World Cup leader, set the third time, 39 hundredths behind Leclerc.
Fernando Alonso marked the twelfth time of the session. The Asturian pilot stayed, in the afternoon, to one second and four tenths of Leclerc. In a rehearsal that ended, with a red flag, three minutes ahead of schedule; due to the mishap of the german Mick schumacher -son of the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher-, who had blown the right rear tire of his Haas when touching the protections going up towards the Casino.
