Óscar Sánchez, with a fantastic round of 67 gross strokes for a total of 71 net, won yesterday in the third round of the Top Golf Challenge Gran Canaria 2020, held at El Salobre Golf Old Course. The winner gave his rivals no options, signing a brilliant victory on the southern field. Achieved five birdies, on holes 1, 4, 5, 10 and 12, and only two bogeys on the 3 and the 13.
The second place went to Bernabé González, who signed a card of 72 impacts (71 net), ahead of Jeppe Friestad, whose 72 net gave him the third position tied with Benjamín Ruiz de la Fuente.
With the results recorded yesterday at the Salobre Golf Old Course, the provisional ranking of the regular phase of the Top Golf Challenge Gran Canaria is still led by Fady Rivero, who despite not obtaining a great result due to an injury that reduced his game continues to lead with 180 points.
Second in this general classification is Pedro Caro-Accino with 170; third place goes to the winner of the third round of the circuit, Óscar Sánchez, with 145; fourth is Leif Inge, also with 145; in the fifth position is for Benjamin Ruiz de la Fuente, with 125.
Anfi Tauro, next stop
The prestigious golf competition will return next September at the Anfi Tauro Golf facilities, while the last round of the regular phase will be in October at Lopesan Meloneras Golf. It should be remembered that the first two tournaments were held in Maspalomas Golf and at the Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas.
From the regular phase of the Top Golf Challenge Gran Canaria 2020 will come the classification that will award a bonus of points for the grand final, to be played in October on a course to be determined.
