Sarmiento, cited for the next commitments of Spain

The Spanish men’s handball coach, Jordi Ribera, has called up 17 players for the next two games against Croatia, which will be played on January 5 in Porec and on January 9 in Madrid, corresponding to the third and fourth days of the EHF EURO Cup 2022.

Among them is the Gran Canaria center back Dani Sarmiento, a fixture for the Catalan coach in his plans for the big events. The French Saint Raphael player has been European champion twice with the national team, the last in January of this year.

As detailed by the RFEBM, this call is exclusive for the aforementioned meetings, since Ribera will not offer his final list for the 2021 Egypt World Championship until January 10. He also accumulates a continental bronze (2014) and a World gold (2013)

The coach has included in this summons the majority of ‘Hispanics’ who were proclaimed European champions last January. Added to them as a novelty is the pivot Rubén Marchán, present in the last activities of the national team and who now hopes to finish convincing the Spanish coach for the World Cup.
