Sants station continues with restricted access to the AVE lobby



The Sants station in Barcelona today maintains measures that restrict access to the lobby of AVE and long-distance trains, and continues to be heavily guarded by police, according to EFE sources from Renfe.

The Ministry of Development has indicated this morning that one of the access doors to the station from the Joan Peiró square has been closed, as indicated by the police, due to the presence of some two hundred concentrates, which have finally dispersed.

Inside the station, the access and the corridors that converge in the security control of AVE and long-distance travelers are closed with fences guarded by the police, so that area can only be entered from one of the the doors located in the square of Països Catalans.

Ave, long distance and commuter trains run normally, according to Renfe.

On the other hand, the company has informed that a labor dispute between the intervention staff of the SNCF gala company does not allow Renfe to "guarantee the provision of services that link with France".

Renfe normally provides AVE service to Figueres and recommends that passengers check the renfe-scnf.com website to find out if their train is affected.
