Santander, pioneer in launching an aggregator of foreign bank accounts

Madrid, Jan 6 (EFEC) .- Banco Santander, the first to offer an account aggregator in Spain, is once again a pioneer in offering its clients the possibility of adding accounts from banks outside of Spain.

The financial group has updated its "Money Plan" application to allow adding foreign bank accounts, which makes it possible to add the accounts of Santander in other countries, such as the United Kingdom, Portugal, Chile, Brazil or Mexico.

This is the main novelty noted by Efe of the updated version of the "app", which has also increased the number of banks that can be added, with almost universal coverage in Spain.

In addition, it has expanded the number of products that can be added to each bank, for example, pension plans, as well as portfolios of securities and investment funds, which were already there.

Soon, sources of the bank explain, it will be possible to also consult accounts of other added banks and the categorization of the expenses, with the idea of giving a more complete global vision to the user.

The "app" helps the client to manage their personal finances, by analyzing all the expenses and income, classifying them in a simple way and sending alerts to notify the user of events that may matter to them when managing their expenses.

"Money Plan" has other functions, from consulting the receipts that will be charged to the account and having notifications of possible errors and double charges, until receiving recommendations on expenses or consulting the position of funds, credits and insurance.

The bank has also recently included in its "app" a new video call service for Santander Personal customers, from which more than one million private customers can benefit.

This service is served by more than 500 digital managers of the entity and allows, among other issues, access to personalized information, share documents or contract products.
