Santander League: Valladolid sinks Espanyol | sports

In a duel of skinny teams of points, lost at the bottom of the table, without football or self-esteem, Valladolid left Espanyol grogui. He didn't need Sergio González's team too much to beat the blue and white team: Espanyol condemned himself. The fragile confidence of David Gallego's boys vanished when the referee pointed out a penalty from Víctor Sánchez to Óscar Plano, who finished 0-1 in Míchel, and melted to black at the time he stayed with one less player for the childish expulsion of Calero. Valladolid had no mercy. Plano signed the 0-2 and the blue and white fan exploded, tired of seeing how his team loses and loses in Cornellà, without more patience with the rookie coach.

The League started with a smile for Valladolid, an extension of what it had been the previous season, when Sergio González's team held on to the elite of Spanish football. However, after the victory at home against Betis and the draw against Madrid at the Bernabéu, the Valladolid team was lost. Until he came to visit Cornellà and met a fond love with Sergio González - "Welcome to your home, Sergio" was the message of the stands for which he was a blue and white player and coach and with a weak, disfigured team in LaLiga, especially in its stadium. Espanyol have lost all four games they have played at RCDE Stadium, with a balance of one goal in favor and 11 against.

There is no way to start Espanyol. And, when it seems that he starts to wake up, fortune or mistakes make him sleep again. Gallego was satisfied with his team's game in Vigo after Santi Mina swiped the victory on the last play (1-1). Before Valladolid he only decided to dispense with Wu Lei (replaced by Darder) with respect to the eleven who jumped into the field in Balaidos. At first, the blue and white coach's strategy did not fail. Espanyol was planted in the Valladolid field, patient with the ball, near the Masip area.

Espanyol did not aim, always with Calleri as the protagonist. Neither the post nor Masip let the Argentine striker debut as a scorer with the blue and white shirt. Condemned in the areas, the lack of aim in the house of Masip el Espanyol added imprudence in that of Diego López. Víctor Sánchez jumped with his arm extended to reject a ball and both the referee and the VAR assistants understood that the Catalan midfielder hit Óscar Plano. There are not enough cameras or repetitions that can nullify the interpretation of the members, who pointed out a penalty. Míchel did not fail. Espanyol sank.

The confidence of the blue and white box has long been on a slide, full of doubts in the field and on the bench. Try to poke your head, but stumble again. Like when after passing through the locker room, Gallego's team attacked again, again with Calleri as a banner. But Espanyol is denied in attack and erratic in defense. Calero failed again (in the last game in Cornellà he gave Isak the leather and finished with the third goal of the Real). This time the blue and white central lost a dispute with Guardiola and had no better idea than trying to remedy the mischief with a foul. He was the last man: red.

The fans ran out of patience. “Gallego go now”, sang the RCDE Stadium. Valladolid clinging to order, he just had to wait for his moment to finish the game. That moment arrived. On the last play, Oscar Plano took a precise and powerful volley to seal the 0-2. Valladolid was reborn against the surrendered Espanyol.
