The PSOE is not willing to allow a solitary government of the PP in Castilla y León with its abstention and he is convinced that it is the irremediable path for Pablo Casado, but he gets rid of the pressure that the PP is exerting and that it has increased after the socialist mayors of Valladolid and León have raised it as an option. Pedro Sánchez has urged the PP to break all the agreements he has with Vox in regions such as Madrid, Murcia or Andalusia if he wants the Socialists to abstain.
The PSOE refuses to facilitate a PP government without Vox with its abstention
"If you want to ask the PSOE to abstain in Castilla y León, explain to the citizens why you want the PSOE to abstain. Ask for it and explain why. Because if you explain that the extreme right is a danger to democracy, maybe we can understand; if you explain that a cordon sanitaire must be put in place for those who are questioning the rights and freedoms of women or of the LGTBI collective, perhaps we can understand each other. But do one thing beforehand, with all those who are agreeing with the extreme right in Madrid and outside of Madrid, tell them to break the agreements with the extreme right", he told the PP spokesman, Javier Maroto, during the control session in the Senate.
"Who has come out losing has been Castilla y León and who has come out winning, because you have promoted it, has been the extreme right and you are the ones who have to respond to it," Sánchez replied to Maroto after he brought up the possibility of abstaining that a couple of voices in his own party have raised. "[Alfonso Fernández] Mañueco has made it clear that he wants a government alone. There are authorized voices from his party in Castilla y León who are proposing abstention so that there is a solo government of the PP, "the conservative spokesman had told him.
The president has once again reproached the PP for calling the elections in Castilla y León when there were "court advisors from the "demographic right" who predicted that he would obtain 41% of the votes and, therefore, win "with absolute majority". "It has been shown that it is not true, that the change of cycle, that the strategy that was going to take Casado to La Moncloa, has not been such", explained Sánchez. "We are not guilty of the advance or of the agreements that they maintain with the extreme right in Madrid, Murcia and Andalusia", insisted Sánchez, who has assumed that the PP will end up governing with the extreme right. "What we can guarantee to the citizens of Castile and León is that any questioning that is made by the Government that you are going to form with Vox by the rights of women, the LGTBI collective or the setback in rights and freedoms will have a forceful and firm response from the Government of Spain " , he has Sanchez sentenced.
