The acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, participates in the COP25 in a meeting with a fortnight of EU leaders and plans to hold several bilateral meetings throughout the day, including with the president of the US House of Representatives .UU., Nancy Pelosy.
Sánchez, who has arrived through the North access of the Madrid fairgrounds around 8.30 am, participates in that meeting with high EU representatives such as the new president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and his new vice president and High Representative of Common Foreign Policy and Security of the EU, Josep Borrell.
According to the agenda provided by Moncloa, after this meeting he will hold two bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of France, Édouard Philippe, and then with the UN Secretary General, António Guterres.
These brief meetings are scheduled before the opening of the summit, which will be held at 10.30 am and in which Sanchez will say a few words.
On a schedule yet to be determined and an agenda that, as Moncloa warns, may vary, Sánchez will meet with Pelosy, with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, and with the President of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno.
