A special safety, mobility and cleaning device, organized by the City Hall of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, will ensure the normal development of the traditional San Silvestre, the race that as every December 31 will cover the streets of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to end the year actively and enjoying the privileged climate of the capital of Gran Canaria.
To ensure safety in a test in which more than 12,000 runners and thousands of people are expected to attend as a public, the Local police has established a traffic device for the enjoyment and the good celebration of the event. From 12.00 on Monday, December 30, it will be cut to traffic León y Castillo street, in the finish area, which will be in front of the Metropole. The same 31, at 2:00 pm, the exit zone will be cut off at the Maritime Highway with Rafael Cabrera, to Las Palmas Pier and the access to the Center by the GC-110, so the detour will be towards May Day.
From 08.00 on Tuesday, December 31, until the end of the event parking will be prohibited in the streets of León and Castillo, Francisco Gourié, GC-110, Juan de Quesada, Rafael Cabrera, Venegas, Luis Doreste Silva, Francisco González Díaz and Párroco Segundo Vega.
