San Roque-Batan club wins the Spanish volleyball cup – La Provincia


The San Roque-Batan volleyball club has just made history by winning the Spanish Cup in the junior men’s category against Urbia Voley Palma. In a tight final, the Gran Canaria squad embraces the glory as it is the first time a base team wins this disputed competition. This set, directed by Aday González, won by two sets to one after a high voltage match. The Club San Roque-Batan managed to overcome after a week of intense competition the 25 best teams in Spain in a major tournament. “From the first game we have maintained a level that has taken us to a final in which a priori we were not favorites,” they stand out from the team. This humble club who hopes to continue on this path of success in the coming years.
