On Ash Wednesday, after the celebration of the Eucharist, the Parish of San Lorenzo officially unveiled its poster of Easter week 2020, to be held from April 3 to 12. The winning work is a photo of the neighbor of this neighborhood of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and photographer Jose Garcia, which he presented and discovered on February 26. It illustrates the stew that the Holy Christ with the Cross on his Back has in his robe, specifically on his left knee, and that represents the chalice with spilled blood. In the presentation the author related the fall of Jesus with that of the believers, the road to the Resurrection, and in turn with the strength of the Eucharist and the importance of Holy Thursday, and which culminated with reference to Psalm 115: “The chalice that we bless is communion with the blood of Christ. ” With this act, Lent begins in the parish community.
