school and family concerts of the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation and the Disa Foundation, which celebrate 29 years of bringing music to children and young people from all over the island of Gran Canaria.

Gran Canaria Big Band directed by Chano Gil, with stage direction by
Louis O'Malley and the participation of actor Alberto San Luis.
'Sammy, a life inside jazz' offers us an approach to the fascinating world of Jazz recovering the figure of the mythical North American composer Sammy Nestico, one of the most
influential creators of this musical style and with the musical support that best characterizes their music, by the Gran Canaria Big Band, one of the most important formations in Spain.
The show will feature the musical background of famous compositions by Sammy Nestico,
Bart Howard, Joe Garland, George Gershwin, and Glenn Miller.
The show, commissioned by the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra school concerts, is produced by the OFGC Foundation and the Gran Canaria Big Band.
