Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini today rejected again authorizing the berthing of the ship of the German NGO Sea-Watch with 33 immigrants rescued in the Central Mediterranean and assured that "Italy has already contributed and now touches others".
Sea-Watch 3 has once again requested a port to dock and help the German government, while weather conditions worsen, informed sources of the organization.
"Italy has opened its heart and its pocket, now we have the Germans, the Spaniards, the Dutch and the French, and in the past Italy has landed 700,000 people," he said in his Twitter account.
Sea-Watch 3 is still waiting for a country to take charge of the 33 people, including 3 teenagers, 3 children and 4 women.
"We have saved 33 people at sea, but Europe refuses to give us a safe haven … More than 30 German cities and federal states have declared that they want to be rescued, and we ask the German Minister of the Interior, Horst Lorenz Seehofer, to find a solution ", affirmed the German NGO on Twitter.
The rescued immigrants come mostly from Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria and Libya, according to the NGO EFE.
For the time being, the ship is in the rescue zone (SAR) of Malta, which for the moment has not authorized the landing.
While the boat of the Spanish NGO Open Arms goes to Spain with 310 immigrants after having obtained the authorization of the Government to dock in Algeciras and is receiving the aid of the Astral another boat of the organization.
