In the archipelago, operations with used vehicles fell by 4%, reaching 26,701 units
Used car sales
in the Canary Islands experienced a decrease 12.91% in April compared to the same period in 2021, registering 6,205 units sold, according to data from the employers' associations Faconauto (dealerships) and Ganvam (official and independent distributors).
So far this year, on the islands, operations with used vehicles
fell 4%up to 26,701 units.
By provinces, the decrease in sales was
higher in Santa Cruz de Tenerifewhere they fell by 15.54% in April, compared to the same month of 2021, while
in Las Palmas the decrease was 10.30%.
In the whole of Spain,
the sale of passenger cars and SUVs used fell in April for the third consecutive month, mainly due to the impact of the microchip crisis.
A total of recorded
134,005 units soldwhich represents a decrease of 17.3% compared to the same month last year, and between last January and April, operations with used vehicles fell by 5.3%, reaching 586,574 units.
