Sagan achieves his long-awaited victory at the Giro d'Italia

Slovak Peter Sagan (Bora Hansgrohe) sealed his first triumph in the Tour of Italy 2020, by winning the tenth stage, on a 177-kilometer route between Lanciano and Tortoreto, in which the Portuguese Joao Almeida (Deceunick Quick Step) kept the pink jersey.
After trying repeatedly with no luck in the first week of competition, Sagan made his mark in the 103rd edition of the Giro al enter Tortoreto leader with an authoritative performance, finished in four hours, one minute and 56 seconds, ahead of American Brandon McNulty (UAE).
In the general classification, Almeida kept the leader's pink jersey, while the most affected was the Danish Jakob Fuglsang, who punctured a few kilometers from the end and lost more than a minute compared to his rivals.
