The fourth edition of the Ruido Award, given by the Associated Journalists of Music (PAM) was for Rosalía, for her album "Evil to love ", who recognized, among the 12 finalists, the best Spanish record of the year. The artist, who already won the award for the best album of 2017 by "Los ángeles", an album with a marked flamenco character, received the one from 2018 with a recorded message: "I feel your affection and that of the people. The album is made with a lot of love and I feel the love of those who have chosen it ", said the Catalan.
"The evil to love" has been recognized in the lists of the best works of 2018 by much of the national press and has even managed to get on the international lists.
At a gala held at the Barceló Theater in Madrid, the music press recognized the work of another 11 finalists: "A blond man", from Christina Rosenvinge; "Render Me Numb, Trivial Violence", by Belako; "Memory of The Red Room; "Disorder", of The Silver; "Violética", of Nacho Vegas; "Antología del cante flamenco heterodoxo", by Child of Elche; "Heart of pork with steamed ginseng", from Putochinomaricón; "Air", from Morgan; "Loto", from Rufus T. The president of the association, Maria Ballesteros, said that the award is the occasion "to celebrate that we are important and that music occupies a place beyond the final minutes of the newscast and the back of the newspaper." The gala, presented by Igor Paskual, featured the performances of La Plata, Belako, The Red Room, Rufus T. Firefly, Morgan, Putochinomaricón and Zahara.
The previous winners were "Voces del extremo", by Niño de Elche; Triangle of Bizarre Love (in 2016 for "Salve discordia") and the aforementioned Rosalía.
