Rosalía launches by surprise a new song, ‘Dolerme’

Under the title
Hurt
, Rosalia has launched this Tuesday a new topic to the digital platforms that, always under their personal musical idiosyncrasy, this time assumes the form of romantic ballad.

“For all those times I got behind / and I changed what was mine for what you wanted”, the lyrics of the song start, which moves between spite and abandonment and the impossibility of forgetting a past love.

East Hurt has seen the light by surprisejust like he did the previous I swear that
, a prison cut produced by her and by El Guincho that was published at the end of January and in which the Catalan artist bet on traditional tangos.

“I know that what I do as an artist may seem expendable, (…) but for me being able to make music is mental health. This song is called Hurt and I hope it makes you feel a little better like I did when I did it, ”he wrote on his Twitter profile. from his confinement for “quarantine”.

Although more blurred, his flamenco influences are still present in this new cut that breathes the romantic vein of the seventies mergers of references such as Las Grecas and in which he encourages: “Hurry, hurry, hurry / that is not tomorrow, / I break my shirt ” “I don’t know why he doesn’t want to hurt me anymore,” Rosalía’s voice cries in the chorus, treated with “autotune” as a stylistic device to give it a more painful and spectral emphasis.

The launch of a new studio album, getting closer

Only a few days ago, the artist herself published on her networks a video with the date of July 3, recorded in a studio with producer Mike Dean, known for his work with hip hop figures such as 2Pac, Kayne West or Travis Scott.

With this new release, it seems that the publication of a new studio album by Rosalía is getting closer after The Angels (2017) and the revolutionary Evil wanting (2018), which placed her on the global map and gave her the Latin Grammy awards for “album of the year” and for “best contemporary pop vocal album”.

Thanks to him, she was also the first Spanish artist to achieve the grammy award to the “best Latin rock, urban or alternative album” and a nomination in the category of “best new artist”, being the first person to achieve it with Spanish as a language.
