Rosa García leaves the presidency of Siemens Spain and of Siemens Gamesa.
Siemens Gamesa, in a statement to the securities regulator, announced that in a meeting held today the board of directors has received and accepted the voluntary resignation presented by Rosa García, until now president of the company. "This resignation has been presented today effective December 1, 2018. Siemens Gamesa wants to thank Mrs. Rosa María García García services to society during their membership," he said. Miguel Ángel López Borrego, current financial director will become a non-executive proprietary director and will be the new president when García leaves the company.
In a statement, the wind turbine manufacturer said that this restructuring is part of "the next phase of its strategic plan towards global leadership, adjusting its management team and its organizational structure to better respond to the dynamic market environment." The CEO of Siemens Gamesa, Markus Tacke, said that 18 months after the merger we have concluded the first phase of our strategic plan, "focused on merging and stabilizing the company."
