Riyadh threatens reprisals if sanctioned by Khashoggi case



Saudi Arabia today threatened to retaliate in case of being sanctioned, as the United States warned yesterday, for the disappearance of the Saudi journalist and dissident Jamal Khashoggi, the past day 2 in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, informed the official agency SPA today.

"The kingdom assures that if it is the object of any measure, it will respond with greater actions," a source from the Saudi kingdom, under anonymity, told the SPA agency.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, warned yesterday that there will be a "severe punishment" against Riyadh in case the assassination of the Saudi dissident is confirmed.
