Ricardo de Querol, deputy director of EL PAÍS | Society



The director of EL PAÍS, Soledad Gallego-Díaz, has appointed Ricardo de Querol as the new deputy editor of the newspaper.

Ricardo de Querol Alcaraz (Madrid, 1968) has a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense. He started his career in 1988 in the newspaper Already and worked more than 10 years for Daily 16. In 1997 and 1998 he was editor of the newspaper Tribune of Salamanca. in 2002 entered into Five Days, where he was editor-in-chief and deputy director. In 2006 he joined EL PAÍS, of which he has been editor-in-chief of Sociedad, Mesa Digital and Babelia. Since March 2016 and until last September he has been the director of Five days. It was also responsible for the launch of The Retina Country.
